Danny

Danny Ma has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Danny is currently working as the Principal AI Engineer at LUMOS since October 2022. Prior to that, Danny founded and served as the CEO of Sydney Data Science starting from December 2018. Danny also worked as a Technical Instructor & Author at O'Reilly Media, starting in September 2021.

In February 2021, Danny founded their own venture called Data With Danny, where they serve as the CEO. The platform has gained over 2,800 enrolments and has a thriving student community. Danny leads a team of volunteer data mentors who provide assistance to students in their data career.

Before that, Danny worked at Commonwealth Bank as a Data Scientist from January 2016 to February 2019. During their tenure, they deployed the first ML models in the digital retail bank and contributed to the design of an experimentation framework for personalized digital sales and service experience.

Prior to that, Danny worked as a Data Analyst at Quantium where they gained experience from January 2014 to December 2015. Danny also held various positions at UNSW, including Founder & President of Lifesaving Society and Vice President of CoopSoc.

Danny has also worked as a Kickboxing Instructor and Lead Program Coordinator at Australian School of Business, UNSW Australia. Danny has interned at Finity Consulting and served as an Actuarial Analyst Intern at TAL Australia.

Danny Ma attended the University of New South Wales (UNSW), pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Danny'sfield of study included Actuarial Studies and Business Economics. However, no information is available regarding the specific years they attended or completed their education at UNSW.
