Mike D. has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Mike began their career as a Software Engineer with Self Employed in 2004 and worked there until 2014. In 2014, they joined The Daily Dot as a Senior Software Engineer and left in 2016. Following this, they worked at O'Reilly Media as a Senior Android Engineer from 2016 to 2017, and then transitioned into the role of Principal Engineer (Mobile) in June 2017.

Mike D. completed a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology with a Software Emphasis at Western Governors University from 2012 to 2014. Mike then obtained several certifications including Perl Specialist from CIWcertified in April 2014, Project+ from CompTIA in April 2014, Security+ from CompTIA in January 2014, and Network+ from CompTIA in December 2013. In September 2010, they also became a Zend Certified PHP5 Engineer through Zend Technologies. Currently, Mike D. is pursuing a Master's Degree in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology starting from 2016.
