Steve Axcell

Steve Axcell is an independent consultant specializing in the Mining and Mineral Industry, focusing on large capital projects since 2017. They have served as a Non-Executive Director for both Orezone Gold Corporation and Excelsior Mining Corp. since 2018. With a strong background in project execution strategy and independent project reviews, Steve highlights the importance of project front-end loading and robust cost estimation. Prior to their consulting career, Steve held various leadership roles at Jacobs, where they were involved in significant mining and minerals projects across North America, North Africa, and the Asia Pacific region. They earned a degree in Mineral Processing Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand between 1975 and 1979.
