Markos Chelios

Markos Chelios has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Markos started their career as an Engineer-Salesman at Germanos, where they worked in sales and promotions for telecommunication-electronic equipment and services. Markos then moved on to Siemens, where they served as a System Verification Engineer, responsible for testing wireline networks and services to ensure high-quality customer deliveries.

In 2009, Markos joined Nokia and held multiple roles during their tenure. As a System Verification Engineer, they continued their work on testing and quality assurance for Nokia's Operations Support Systems. Markos later transitioned to the role of a Customer Service Specialist, where they led non-functional testing activities, provided active support for customer systems, and participated in customer upgrade activities. Markos also served as an R&D Stress Test Engineer, focusing on automated testing for the MME product and following the highest TMMi level in product development.

Most recently, Markos worked at GoodPath as a Senior Software QA Engineer. In this remote role, they were responsible for administering and executing extensive web testing scenarios, setting up QA plans and test books, and managing defect management activities. Markos utilized various tools such as Selenium/Cypress, JMeter, POSTMAN API, JIRA, Git, Netlify, Moltin, and Contentful.

Currently, Markos is a Software Engineer In Test at Orfium, where they apply their expertise in testing software systems. The duration of this role is ongoing. Overall, Markos has proven himself to be a highly skilled and experienced professional in the field of testing and quality assurance.

Markos Chelios has a diverse education history. Markos obtained a Master's degree in Financial and Management Engineering from Aegean University, where they studied from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, in 2004, they attended the University of Oulu for a short period to study Information Technology. Their first degree, a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, was earned from the University of West Attica, where they studied from 2001 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Markos Chelios has also obtained several certifications. Markos completed the Professional Scrum Product Owner™ I (PSPO I) certification from Scrum.org in December 2022. Markos also obtained certifications in Agile Foundations, Become an Agile Project Manager, and Cert Prep: PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner from LinkedIn in February 2022 and January 2021, respectively. Additionally, Markos achieved certifications in Foundation Level Certificate in Software testing from the Greek Software Testing Board in March 2018, Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) and Python Data Structures from Coursera in June 2017, and CSE Emergency and Outage and TSE Emergency and Outage from Pearson VUE in October 2015. Their earliest certification, the ISTQB certification Advanced Level Test Manager, was obtained from Udemy in November 2008.
