Derek Bean

Derek Bean has over 25 years of experience in the field of engineering and management. In 1995, they began their career as a Project Engineer at SciMAT. Derek then moved to Distrupol in 2002, where they worked as a Polymer Engineer. In 2006, they joined Bespak, a division of Consort Medical, as a Programme Manager. Derek then went on to work as a Programme Manager at Enigma Diagnostics in 2010. In 2011, Bean joined Adlens as a Technical Project Manager, and in 2018 they were promoted to Process Engineering Manager. In 2015, they began working at Essentra as a Solutions Engineering Manager - Group Operations and Custom Engineering Manager. In 2020, they joined Occuity as a Programme Director and Programme Manager. Most recently, in 2022, Bean began working at Ori Biotech as a Senior Manager, Consumables.

Derek Bean has a diverse educational background. Derek obtained their MBA from Murdoch University with a focus on China from 2000 to 2001. From 1995 to 1999, they studied at Brunel University London and earned a BSC in Polymer Science and Technology. Derek also obtained an HND in Polymer Science & Technology from Trowbridge College from 1997 to 1999. Additionally, Bean has obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including Business Analyst and Project Manager Collaboration, Managing Project Stakeholders, Delivering Results with a Business-focused PMO, Setting Up a PMO, Strategic Planning Foundations, Common Meeting Problems, Critical Thinking, and Strategic Thinking.
