Michael Gessner

Michael Gessner is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the NA Engineering Team Lead at Orica since February 2016. In this role, Michael has successfully led a cross-functional team to deliver the commercial introduction of the Avatel product, while facilitating collaboration across multinational teams. Previously, Michael held positions including Senior Electrical Design, where key accomplishments included coordinating hazardous studies and managing projects exceeding $3M, and Electrical Design Engineer, where innovative designs for electrical systems were developed for mobile equipment. Earlier in Michael's career, an Electrical Engineer role at Test and Controls International involved designing quality testing control systems. Michael holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering, both from the University of Louisville.
