Michael Johnston

Michael Johnston is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology management, marketing, and project execution. Currently serving as the Manager of Technology at Orica since October 2014, Michael oversees business development and implementation for wireless initiating system technology. Previous roles at Orica include Product Manager for Electronic Blasting Systems and Lead Global Marketing for Integrated Systems/EBS, where significant achievements included advancing new technologies and establishing long-range demand planning systems. Prior to Orica, Michael held various marketing roles at Bis Industries, including Marketing Manager, where a successful re-positioning campaign impacted thousands of employees. Michael began their career as a Communications Coordinator at Gryphon Management, gaining diverse experience in crisis management and stakeholder engagement. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Western Australia.
