Chris Abrams

Chris Abrams is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Head of Commercial Development (Future Energy) at Origin Energy since October 2011, focusing on VPP growth and commercialization. Prior roles include Performance & Strategy Manager, where responsibilities encompassed strategy setting, performance insights, ASX and Board reporting, and strategic transactions, as well as Commercial Development Manager, handling innovation strategy and equity investments. Additional experience includes Portfolio Manager for Gas & LNG Markets and Senior Commercial Analyst in Corporate Development & Strategy. Prior to Origin Energy, Chris worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Deutsche Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney, alongside a CFA from the CFA Institute.
