Mark Elliott

Mark Elliott has extensive experience in finance and management across various industries. Currently serving as Head of Finance Transformation at Origin Energy since July 2012, Mark leads finance transformation initiatives, focusing on SAP finance implementation. Previously, Mark held the position of General Manager Commercial at Contact Energy Ltd, where the turnover was NZ$2.1 billion, and served as the Chief Financial Officer. Mark's background includes significant roles in Nyrstar NV, where as Regional Director for Australia and Asia, Mark contributed to establishing the world’s largest zinc smelting company. Additional experience includes positions at Zinifex Ltd, Royal Dutch Shell, Fletcher Challenge Energy, ANZ Bank, and KPMG, where Mark has developed expertise in corporate finance, project financing, and tax consulting. Mark holds a Master of Commerce with first-class honours and a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Auckland, as well as completing The Challenge of Leadership Programme at INSEAD.
