Michael Lloyd

Michael Lloyd is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in automation, optimization, and electrical engineering. Currently serving as the Automation & Optimisation Lead at Origin Energy since May 2020, Michael oversees a team that manages remote operations for over 2300 wells, with plans to expand operations to over 5000 wells. Previous roles include Automation Systems Engineer at AGL Energy, Senior Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Engineer at SAGE Automation, and Project Manager at Beach Energy Ltd, among others. Michael has a strong track record of process optimization and project management, having successfully led significant upgrades and enhancements in various operational settings. Michael holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from The University of Queensland.
