Simon Camroux

Simon Camroux currently serves as Head of Development at Origin Energy, a position held since November 2020. Previously, Simon was Head of Regulation at SIMEC Energy Australia from October 2018 to October 2020, where responsibilities included managing wholesale and retail policy, engaging stakeholders, and overseeing funding requests for a major renewable energy program. Simon also led regulatory efforts at Ausgrid, guiding a team to prepare a Regulatory Proposal for the Australian Energy Regulator. In a senior role at AGL, responsibilities encompassed addressing wholesale regulatory obligations and participating in market forums. Simon's early career included positions at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Vic) and AGL Energy, focusing on regulation. Simon holds a Master of Environmental Law from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Newcastle, and completed a program in Strategic Leadership at ANZOG.
