Origin Sciences develops and manufactures innovative diagnostic tools and assays that enable the detection, diagnosis and monitoring of gastrointestinal diseases. The Oricol™ sample collection device is Origin’s flagship product to enter the in vitro diagnostic market, which enables convenient and effective clinical sampling of mucocellular material from the rectum. Using the Oricol™ technology, Origin Sciences is developing a portfolio of assays and seeking collaborations to develop high-value tests for the GI market. Currently in development are tests for colorectal cancer (CRC) and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

Founded in 2004, Origin Sciences is based in the UK, with a laboratory in Cambridge and offices in London.
