Bárbara Mariani

Bárbara Mariani has gained significant work experience in the field of software engineering. Bárbara is currently working as a Software Engineer at Origin since April 2021. Previously, they worked at Gympass as a Backend Developer from December 2019 to March 2021, where they were part of a multidisciplinary squad responsible for developing and maintaining various microservices. Bárbara used Scala as the programming language, with a combination of functional and object-oriented paradigms. Bárbara also worked with relational databases like Mariadb and PostgreSQL, and utilized RabbitMQ for messaging communication. During their time at Gympass, they also contributed to the architecture selection and development of REST APIs in Kotlin and SpringBoot.

Prior to this, Bárbara worked at M4U for three years. Bárbara started as an Analyst Developer from July 2016 to December 2019, where they worked on backend web application development and maintenance. Bárbara worked with Java, JBoss, Hibernate, and SQLServer for legacy systems, and they developed new systems using microservices and asynchronous communication, applying techniques like DDD, TDD, and design patterns. Technologies such as Java, Maven, Git, REST, SpringBoot, PostgreSQL, and RabbitMQ were utilized during their tenure.

Bárbara gained initial work experience as a Development Intern at Extreme Digital Solutions - EDS from November 2015 to June 2016. Bárbara started their career as a Technical Computer Technician at Rede MV1 de Ensino from January 2014 to November 2014.

Bárbara Mariani has a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Information Systems from Estácio, which they obtained from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended UERJ from 2014 to 2017, where they studied Computer Science. Additionally, Bárbara obtained the Scrum Fundamentals Certification from SCRUMstudy in April 2019.
