Jim Chien has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and front-end development. Starting from 2017, they worked as a Bolsista de Iniciação at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, where they developed CAD models and software for hydrodynamic and thermic areas of Oil&Gas industries.
In 2019, Jim joined Conta Azul as a Front-end Developer, initially working as a Junior Front-end Developer of the Tax Obligations Squad. Jim was responsible for developing new features for the Tax Obligations micro-frontend in the ContaAzul+ platform. Jim then transitioned to the Design System Squad, where they documented UI components, maintained existing components, created new components in Vue and AngularJS, provided technical support to developers, and promoted the usage of company UI components.
Next, at EBANX, Jim worked as a Junior Software Engineer before being promoted to a Software Engineer. During this time, they gained experience in software development.
In 2021, Jim joined RD Station as a Front-end Developer, where they worked until 2022. Finally, in 2022, Jim started working as a Front-end Engineer at Origin.

Jim Chien received their education from multiple institutions. From 2010 to 2013, they attended Instituto Federal do Paraná, where they obtained a Technician degree in Industrial Engineering. Following that, they went on to study at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina from 2014 to 2019. There, they pursued a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
