We want the world to know and love Timorese coffee.

Orijem Timor brings Timorese coffee growers together to teach them how to improve coffee quality and to increase the exportable volume of  specialty coffee.

We work with local communities to promote gender equality, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability.

Orijem Timor is based on a partnership between three companies:
•	Kape Diem Coffee Lab. A Timorese company producing speciality coffee.
•	Project Origin. An Australian company that exports specialty coffee globally.
•	1LM. An Australian profit-for-purpose company providing project services.
The company also receives support from the Australian Government through its Business Partnership Platform to assist Timor-Leste’s COVID-19 economic recovery. 

Orijem Timor’s aim is to produce specialty coffee for international export, delivering higher incomes to farmers and improving Timor-Leste’s international reputation for quality coffee. It supported over 175 farmers in 2021 and seeks to support over 1000 farmers by 2023.

To achieve this aim, Orijem Timor is:
•	building a network of farmers committed to growing specialty coffee
•	supporting the rehabilitation of coffee farms and training farmers in practices to improve quality and yields
•	introducing farming and processing techniques that improve environmental sustainability
•	providing training and development opportunities to enable women to be employed in positions of leadership and responsibility within the speciality coffee industry.
