Alissa Sanchez

Alissa Sanchez has over 13 years of experience in environmental permitting and compliance. Alissa is currently working as the Director of Business Development at Ormat Technologies, Inc. In this role, they are responsible for managing all aspects of environmental permitting for renewable energy projects. Prior to this, they held positions such as Senior Manager- Environmental Permitting at Ormat Technologies, Inc., Nevada Resources Business Group Manager at HDR, and Owner and Principal at Sanchez Environmental Consulting. Alissa has also worked as the Director U.S. Environmental Permitting at Elko Mining Group, LLC, Owner - Principal Environmental Specialist at Sanchez (River) Environmental Consulting, Director- Permitting and Compliance at Comstock Mining Inc., and Environmental Permitting and Compliance Manager at Allied Nevada Gold Corp. Alissa has expertise in state and federal air quality permitting acquisition, NEPA projects, and working closely with county, state, and federal agencies. Alissa has a background in atmospheric chemistry and project management. Alissa began their career as a Sr. Atmospheric Chemist and Project Manager at Enviroscientists, Inc.

Alissa Sanchez obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Northland College in 1998. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Nevada, Reno, which they completed in 2005. In 2015, they also obtained a certification in Visible Emissions-Opacity.
