Athanasios Papadopoulos is a highly experienced professional in the field of asset integrity and grid integration within the renewable energy sector. Currently serving as the Lead Asset Integrity Specialist at Ørsted since February 2022, Athanasios focuses on the integrity and compliance of offshore wind turbine generators (WTGs) across the company's global portfolio. Previously, Athanasios held the role of Senior Asset Integrity Specialist at Ørsted and served as the Lead Grid Integration Engineer at Lagerwey, where responsibilities included engineering oversight and team direction. Athanasios began a career in renewable energy as a Power Systems Engineer at Lagerwey and has held internships at ECN and Plan B Constructions, working on wind energy and photovoltaic systems respectively. Athanasios holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Technology from Delft University of Technology and both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
