Azlan Ab. Malek is currently the Lead Model Developer at Ørsted, having transitioned from the role of Senior Model Developer. From 2009 to 2022, Azlan served as the Senior Manager of Performance at Malakoff Power Berhad, leading the thermal performance analysis and diagnostics program for coal-fired power plants and developing first-principle thermodynamic models to optimize operational efficiency. Azlan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics Engineering, with First Class Honours, from the International Islamic University Malaysia, where they studied from 2004 to 2008.
