Brecht Malfait

Brecht Malfait is an accomplished professional in the field of energy engineering with extensive experience in portfolio optimization, project development, and business development. Currently serving as Head of Portfolio Optimisation & Projects and previously as Lead Project Developer at Ørsted since November 2018, Brecht has demonstrated expertise in managing innovative projects. Prior experience at Haldor Topsoe A/S included roles as Senior Business Development Manager and Product Development Manager, focusing on on-site CO generation by electrolysis and technology supervision. Brecht's earlier positions at Topsoe Fuel Cell A/S involved project management and engineering roles related to solid oxide electrolysis and fuel cell technology. Brecht holds a Master of Science in Energy Engineering from KU Leuven.
