David Facey

David Facey is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Special Projects Principal for Generation Europe at Ørsted since August 2021. In this role, David oversees project direction, budget approval, and compliance with legal standards while also serving as a Board Member for the Hornsea Two Offshore Wind Farm. Prior to Ørsted, David held various leadership positions at British Gas, including Head of Energy Customer Propositions and Products, where responsibilities encompassed P&L accountability and commercial strategy. David's career began at Centrica, accruing valuable expertise in group strategy, energy policy, and project management, along with a strong educational background, including a PGCert in Systems Thinking and an MSci in Physics from Durham University.
