David Simon

David Simon is a seasoned professional in technical project development, currently serving as the Technical Project Development Director at Ørsted since August 2012, focusing on offshore wind farms in Korea and Taiwan. Simon has held various roles at Ørsted, including Senior Technical Project Development Manager, responsible for Taiwan's Offshore Wind Round 3 auctions, and Senior Programme Manager for wind turbines in the APAC region. Prior experience includes positions at Vestas Wind Systems as a Project Manager managing technology R&D projects and at Gamesa, where responsibilities included overseeing ERP/SAP projects and continuous improvement initiatives. David Simon holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Pública de Navarra, supported by a six-year scholarship.
