David van der Bijl

David van der Bijl is a seasoned professional in project management and operations, currently serving as the Head of Borssele Operations at Ørsted since April 2022. With a robust background in managing offshore projects, David has held various roles at N-Sea Group from January 2015 to April 2022, including Head of Projects and Senior Project Manager, overseeing offshore diving, ROV, and survey projects. Prior experience includes project management positions at Tideway BV, where David focused on offshore rock placement and scour protection contracts for the oil and gas and offshore wind industries. David began his career at Noordhoek Diving Company B.V. and Noordhoek Offshore B.V., contributing to dive and logistical management. Early experience includes logistics management at GEMS Metaalwerken BV. David van der Bijl holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Montpellier.
