Dirk Borden

Dirk Borden has extensive experience in procurement and contract management, currently serving as Manager of Americas Procurement and Manager of Americas Contract Management at Ørsted since January 2022. Prior to Ørsted, Dirk held various positions at BHP from February 2012 to January 2022, including Principal Supply Business Partner and Principal Category Management, where significant cost improvements and operational efficiencies were achieved. Dirk developed robust category strategies leading to $12 million in cash flow savings and oversaw complex commercial negotiations. Dirk began the career as a Supply Graduate, gaining valuable exposure to multiple supply chain management disciplines and successfully improving vendor performance during tenure. Dirk holds a B.S. in Supply Chain Management from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
