Ditte Marie Mikkelsen

Ditte Marie Mikkelsen is a seasoned project director, environmental manager, and EIA practitioner with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly focused on offshore wind projects. Currently serving as a Senior Permitting Manager at Ørsted since August 2021, Ditte drives the development of large-scale offshore wind initiatives. Prior to Ørsted, Ditte held the position of Chief Consultant at the Danish Energy Agency, managing significant energy island projects aimed at enhancing offshore wind capacity. Experience also includes serving as Principal Consultant and Marine Biologist at Ramboll Environ, where expertise in environmental assessments was developed, as well as roles at the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources and various environmental research institutions. Ditte holds a Master of Science degree in biology from the University of Copenhagen and completed additional studies in marine and environmental science at the University of Otago.
