Dr. Chris Chu is a seasoned expert in risk management with significant experience across various industries. Currently serving as the Head of Generation Risk Management at Ørsted since September 2025, Dr. Chu previously held the role of Senior Risk & Resilience Manager at SSE Renewables, where leadership encompassed Enterprise Risk Management, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity Planning. Prior positions include Co-founder of Guanxi Connect, and Risk Manager at InterContinental Hotels Group, where a focus on supply chain risk management was paramount. Academically, Dr. Chu earned a PhD in Risk and Financial Modelling from The University of Manchester and has contributed to research in supply chain risk as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Recognized for innovation in ERM, Dr. Chu received the ‘Business Leader of Tomorrow’ award from Innovate UK.
