Ioannis Bertsios

Ioannis Bertsios is a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in the wind energy sector, currently serving as Concept & Configuration Manager and Senior Configuration Specialist at Ørsted since March 2023, overseeing technical configuration management for wind farm projects in the UK and US. Prior to Ørsted, Ioannis held key positions at Bladena ApS, including Head of Structural & Risk Group, leading a team of engineers and advising on wind turbine blade operations, and as a Senior Structural Engineer responsible for commercial project management and root cause analyses. Additional experience includes research on floating wind turbines at DHI, varied engineering roles at EYDAP, military engineering supervision, and foundational experience as a freelancer and structural engineer. Ioannis obtained a Master’s degree in Wind Energy from the Technical University of Denmark, along with master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Hydraulic and Civil Engineering from the Democritus University of Thrace.
