Jens Peter Vind Hansen

Jens Peter Vind Hansen is an experienced geophysicist with a substantial background in energy exploration and project management. Currently serving as Lead Geophysicist at Ørsted since October 2020, Jens Peter is responsible for creating and updating ground models for site and cable route evaluations, conducting geohazard assessments, and overseeing data quality assurance and control. Prior to Ørsted, Jens Peter held the position of Lead Geologist at INEOS Oil & Gas Denmark, managing geophysical evaluations and external reprocessing projects. Jens Peter's career includes significant roles at DONG Energy and Noreco ASA, where project management and close collaboration with other engineering disciplines were key components. Jens Peter began as a Geophysicist at Altinex Oil and has a strong academic background with a Ph.D. in Geology and Geophysics from Aarhus University, complemented by multiple degrees in Basin Geology and Geophysics.
