Jesper Mikkelsen

Jesper Mikkelsen serves as Vice President in Legal at Ørsted since October 2017, overseeing the establishment and management of legal teams across the US and APAC, with current responsibilities for four teams supporting offshore wind and P2X projects. Prior to Ørsted, Jesper Mikkelsen held various legal roles at DONG Energy from October 2000 to October 2017, culminating in the Vice President position, alongside experience as a Senior Manager and Attorney-at-law, where legal teams were built to support key energy sectors. Additional experience includes serving as an in-house counsel at Tryg, a trainee judge in the Supreme Court, and a head of section at the Ministry of Justice. Jesper Mikkelsen's educational background includes executive programs in finance and leadership from INSEAD and IMD, specialized training in competition law, and a Cand.jur degree from the University of Copenhagen.
