João Soares

João Soares is currently the Lead IT Security Consultant at Ørsted, where they focus on automating infrastructure processes and driving network/infrastructure as code across both on-prem and cloud environments. Previously, they served as a Network Lead at Verisure, managing a complex network infrastructure and developing high availability systems. João has also held positions as a System Administrator at the University of Coimbra and as an invited professor, where they taught Network and System Security. They hold a Master's degree in Communications, Services, and Infrastructures as well as a Bachelor's degree in Informatics Engineering from the same university.
