John Lyons

John Lyons is a Senior Wind Energy Analyst at Ørsted since April 2021, following a role as a Wind Energy Analyst. Prior experience includes working at DTU Wind Energy as a Development Engineer focused on wind turbine testing and calibrations, and an MSc Thesis Student at Vattenfall within the Windfarm Design & Control Team, where the focus was on applying machine learning techniques for performance analysis in large wind farms. Earlier positions include various roles at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, including a Student Worker in offshore wind energy structural engineering and data analytics, and as an MSc Student in Wind Energy Engineering. Additional experience spans internships and positions at companies such as Aegir Insights, Apex Clean Energy, and 3M, where responsibilities included product development and energy analytics. John Lyons holds a Master of Science in Wind Energy Engineering from DTU and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Miami University.
