Lopa Parikh

Lopa Parikh serves as the Head of Electricity Policy at Ørsted since September 2022, focusing on issues and outcomes that advance clean energy development, particularly in wholesale market and transmission matters affecting renewable energy. Prior to Ørsted, Lopa Parikh held the position of Senior Director of Federal Regulatory Affairs at the Edison Electric Institute from October 2010 to September 2022, where responsibilities included strategizing on impacts to investor-owned utilities and overseeing a team in developing policy advocacy. Earlier roles included Director of Federal Regulatory Affairs for Energy Supply at Old Dominion Electric Cooperative and Assistant People's Counsel at the District of Columbia Office of the People's Counsel, where Lopa Parikh advocated for end-use customers. Lopa Parikh's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in natural science with a minor in political science from The University of Akron, a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, and completion of the Executive Leadership Program at The Wharton School.
