Mads Thorsted Nielsen

Mads Thorsted Nielsen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in IT and communications within the energy sector. Currently serving as Director of Production IT at Ørsted since June 2016, Mads has progressed through various roles including Senior Manager and Manager in Production IT and SCADA Communication. Previously, Mads led a communications team at DONG Energy, focusing on wind power, and worked as a Network Engineer for Odense Kommune, managing a large network infrastructure. Earlier roles included telecommunications/network engineering and SCADA project management at DONG Energy, as well as co-founding IZAX Websolutions and developing applications in computer vision and engineering. Mads holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern Denmark.
