Mauricio Almiray

Mauricio Almiray is the Head of Offshore Services Procurement at Ørsted, where they lead critical procurement initiatives within the offshore wind sector. With a background in mechanical and electrical engineering, Mauricio began their career as a field engineer in the oil industry, excelling in seismic and reservoir logging. Mauricio transitioned to wind energy after completing a Master of Science at Danmarks Tekniske Universitet, where their thesis focused on optimizing transformer ratings for offshore wind farms. They have also held multiple roles at Ørsted, including Project Manager and Senior Project Manager, leading numerous improvement initiatives and overseeing significant maintenance operations.
