Niels Frandsen

Niels Frandsen is a Senior Tool Developer at Ørsted, specializing in engineering tools for offshore wind turbine simulations since May 2022. Niels also serves as an External Examiner for B.Sc. programs in Civil and Mechanical Engineering since April 2018. Prior experience includes roles as a Modelling and Simulation Specialist at Oticon, focusing on simulation methods for hearing instruments, a Senior Structural/R&D Engineer at Wood Thilsted Partners working on wind turbine foundation tools, and a Structural Dynamics Engineer at COWI analyzing vibration and noise. Niels holds a PhD from the Technical University of Denmark and has international experience as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Colorado Boulder. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Structural Dynamics and Structural Engineering, respectively, from the Technical University of Denmark.
