Svend Brun Hansen

Svend Brun Hansen is a Senior Climate and Environmental Manager at Ørsted, where they have advised executive management on the company’s climate strategy since 2016. They led Ørsted to become the first energy major with a Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi) approved target in 2017 and a science-based net-zero target in 2021. With over 10 years of professional experience in sustainability, Svend co-authored significant publications on nanoparticles while working at the Danish Technological Institute and served as a Teaching Assistant at DTU Environment. Svend holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and has studied Industrial Ecology at Yale University.
