Brian Johnston has over 20 years of work experience. Brian began their career in 1999 as Director, Kodak External Alliances at Eastman Kodak Company, where they conducted due diligence on technology, management team and business case of early stage companies, and established strategic alliances with venture-backed companies and universities to develop new businesses. Brian also served as R&D Laboratory Manager, where they administered a ~$30M annual budget, directed activities of ~70 scientists and engineers creating inventions, building innovations, developing technology prototypes and commercializing new products. In 2013, they became Chief Executive Officer at Sensor Films Inc., an additive manufacturing solutions provider. Finally, in 2021, they became Chief Executive Officer at Orthogonal, Inc., where they are responsible for the company's advanced materials designed to enable high-resolution patterning of organic electronic materials used to create state-of-the-art electronic devices in customer operations.
Brian Johnston received a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Southampton and an MBA from the University of Rochester - Simon Graduate School of Business.
