Eric April is a highly experienced software developer with a strong background in embedded systems and software architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Embedded Software Developer at Orthogone Technologies since February 2011, Eric has previously held significant positions including Lead Software Architect Specialist at EMS SatNET/Advantech Satellite Networks and Lead Software Architect at EMS Technologies. Eric began a career in technology as a Terminal Software Designer at SPAR Aerospace/EMS Technologies and has also worked as a CDMA BTS radio software designer at Nortel Networks. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Engineer at the Communication Research Center and Defence Research Establishment Ottawa, contributing to various research projects from June 1990 to August 1997. Eric holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa.
