Calvin Bui

Calvin Bui has a solid background in DevOps engineering, starting in 2014 as an Innovations Center Technical Intern at IBM. Calvin was responsible for setting up development and testing environments, managing servers and networking, and improving processes through scripting.

In 2015, Calvin worked as a Technical Support Officer at E-Flo Computers, providing on-site support and managing enterprise systems and networks.

In 2016, Calvin joined Commonwealth Bank as a DevOps Engineer. Calvin supported a team of 6 engineers and provided CI/CD support for 8000 bank developers. Calvin'sresponsibilities included implementing and consulting on automation tools, developing Ansible scripts, and monitoring services using AppDynamics and Splunk. Calvin also achieved significant milestones such as establishing a Git-flow model and implementing JFrog Artifactory in the bank's production environment.

Calvin then moved on to Coates Group in 2017 as a DevOps Engineer, where they continued their work in CI/CD and automation.

Most recently, Calvin joined Ortto in 2019 and has held the positions of Senior DevOps Engineer and currently Lead DevOps Engineer. The specific responsibilities for these roles are not provided, but they indicate progression and advancement in Calvin's career.

Calvin Bui started their education at All Saints Catholic Boys College in Liverpool from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained their School Certificate. Calvin then attended All Saints Catholic Senior College Casula from 2010 to 2011, where they earned their NSW High School Certificate (HSC).

In 2012, Calvin enrolled at the University of Technology Sydney, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Science in Information Technology. Calvin also completed a Diploma in IT Professional Practice during their time there, which they completed in 2015.

Calvin has also obtained several additional certifications. In September 2013, they completed an Agile Project Management Short Course at Charles Sturt University. In September 2014, they obtained the IBM DM2 Academic Associate: DB2 Database and Application Fundamentals certification from IBM. In November 2016, they completed the VMware vSphere 6 Masterclass Short Course at Charles Sturt University. Most recently, in May 2021, Calvin acquired the Harness Administrator certification from Harness.
