Gloria Funcheon

Gloria Funcheon, MA, MSc, has extensive experience in education program management and strategic communications within international development contexts. Gloria served as Education Program Manager at The University of Kansas, overseeing a $1.25 million educational grant from the US Department of Defense. As Strategic Communications and Knowledge Management Advisor at Mercy Corps, Gloria developed communications strategies for a five-year USDA program in Uzbekistan and played a key role in advocacy efforts. Additional roles include Programme Officer for Caucasus, Central & South Asia, where Gloria supported youth civic engagement and skills development projects across multiple countries, and as a Human Rights Officer at OSCE, focusing on socio-economic inequalities affecting vulnerable youth. Gloria's educational background includes a BA in History and International Relations from Kansas State University, an MA in Russian, Eastern European and Eurasian Studies from the University of Kansas, and an MSc in Development Studies from SOAS University of London.
