Stef Stienstra is an independent international expert in CBRN defense, focusing on risk mitigation and medical countermeasures against chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats. Stef served as a Subject Matter Expert for the Government of the Netherlands, developing national bio-detection and diagnostic capacities, and has contributed to bio-defense programs worldwide, collaborating with organizations such as WHO and NATO. As a visiting professor at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and a lecturer at various NATO institutions, Stef shares expertise on bio-defense and resilience. Additionally, they write articles on science and technology, making complex topics accessible to the public. Currently, Stef is involved in several innovative CBRN defense initiatives across Europe.
