Darrell Leadbetter has extensive experience in economics and policy roles, beginning as a Legislative Assistant for the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1996 to 1999. Leadbetter served as an Instructor at Yonsei University in 1995 and held various positions at the Insurance Bureau of Canada and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, including Senior Policy Analyst. From 2007 to 2011, Leadbetter was the Chief Economist at the Property and Casualty Insurance Compensation Association and later served as Chief Economist and VP Financial Analysis and Regulatory Affairs at PACICC until 2011. In the subsequent years, Leadbetter held multiple senior roles at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada, culminating in a Senior Director position overseeing insurance and pension supervision. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Queen's University and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Toronto.
