John Freamo is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in both public service and strategic communication roles. Currently serving as the Manager of Internal Communications at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada since February 2023, John leads a team dedicated to enhancing organizational objectives and culture. Previous roles include Assistant Director of Identity Management & Biometrics Policy at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, and Communications Manager at Public Safety Canada. John has also contributed to the Ottawa Jazz Festival as President and held various leadership positions at the City of Ottawa, where management and training of staff were key responsibilities. John holds a Master of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Humanities from Carleton University.
