John Pehar

John Pehar, CFA, is a seasoned banking regulator currently serving as a Principal Analyst at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada, where they lead supervisory efforts for various financial institutions. They hold a BA in Economics and an MA in Business Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University. Previously, John demonstrated leadership as President of the Laurier Economics Club and as Chair of Stouffville’s Mayor’s Youth Council, while also gaining diverse experience in roles ranging from project management to bookkeeping. Passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, John has actively contributed to the LGBTQI2S Employee Resource Group and has organized community events throughout their career.
