Kathy Staples

Kathy Staples has extensive experience in financial services, holding key leadership roles across several organizations. Notable positions include Director of the Accounting Policy Division at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) from April 2009 to September 2012, and Director of Insurance Risk Management and Strategy at OSFI from September 2012 to April 2015. Other roles include AVP of Securities Accounting & Reporting at Manulife Financial from June 2003 to October 2006, Project Manager at RBC Insurance from 2007 to 2008, and serving as a Business Analyst/Project Lead at CIBC Life Insurance Company of Canada from 1994 to 1998. Kathy Staples is currently retired from a Director position at OSFI, which began in January 2023. Kathy Staples earned a BA in Financial Studies from Western University between 1980 and 1983.
