Patrick Cane, MSc, is a seasoned risk management professional with a background in analytics and model development. They have held various roles, including Methodologist at Statistics Canada, where they devised probabilistic systems for data completion, and Reporting Analyst at Fidelity Investments, where they implemented automated process improvements. At Scotiabank, Patrick managed the development of IFRS9 expected loss provision models and led teams in analyzing risk portfolios. Currently, as Senior Manager in the Risk Quantification Division at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada, they lead internal stress testing and co-author guidelines on model risk management.
