Dan Benoit

Dan Benoit, ICD.D, currently serves as a Director on the Board of Directors for Oshawa Power, actively participating in the Finance and Audit Committee and the Project Monitoring Committee since March 2021. As an Infrastructure Financing Consultant since October 2019, Dan Benoit aids companies in developing capital structuring and financing strategies, with prior engagements including Northland Power Inc. From September 2017 to September 2019, Dan Benoit held the position of Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Equispheres Inc., and previously served as Chief Investment Officer and Senior Vice President of Capital Markets for Brookfield Renewable from October 2009 to July 2017, overseeing significant debt financings exceeding CAD$9 billion. Earlier roles include Associate Director in Equity Capital Markets at Scotia Capital, and Manager at the Canadian Institute for Health Information, where Dan Benoit developed influential hospital funding methodologies. Dan Benoit holds an ICD.D degree from the Institute of Corporate Directors, an MBA from Ivey Business School, and both MSc and BSc degrees from McGill University.
