Chief Principal Simulation Engineer

Christopher Back is a seasoned Chief Principal Simulation Engineer at Oshkosh Corporation, with over a decade of experience in the automotive industry. Since February 2011, Christopher has developed a test environment for suspension and ESC controls, integrated real-time hydraulic models for vehicle simulation, and improved the reliability of Hardware-in-the-Loop software infrastructure. Prior to this role, Christopher served as a Hardlines Lab Technician at Bureau Veritas, leading product analysis for major clients and operating testing equipment according to established standards. Christopher's freelance work included creating 3D assemblies in Solidworks, while earlier experience as an Engineering Assistant at the New York State Center for Engineering Design and Industrial Innovation involved producing detailed 3D models and developing simulation applications. Christopher holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo.
