Ian Johnston

Ian Johnston is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in software development and management. As Chief Technology Officer at Osler Technology since December 2015, Ian has led the development of three large Salesforce software packages, including a significant implementation for a leading Australian university. Prior to this role, Ian worked at Extel Technologies Pty Ltd., where as Design and Development Manager, five new products across various applications were launched, including the first FDA-approved medical smartwatch. Ian's entrepreneurial background includes founding Tinydesk, sold for $18 million, and serving as Managing Director while developing a mobile iOS app. Earlier career highlights involve managing real-time data services at Weatherford and founding Visean Information Services, where a pioneering cloud-based drilling monitoring system was introduced. Ian holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from Monash University.
