Marc Johnson

Marc Johnson has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Marc began their career in 1998 as Regional Consulting Director at Forsythe Technology. In 2005, they became Managing Director of Data Center Transformation & Availability at Symantec, where they managed a multi-million dollar P&L and led a global team. Marc also saved $10 million in four weeks through storage space reclamation. In 2011, they took on the role of Practice Director of Data Center Management & Storage at Creative Breakthrough Inc., where they delivered executive management of a multi-million dollar portfolio. In 2013, they became Chief Technologist of Data Center Management at Insight and drove revenues to $300 million with a 150% annual growth. In 2015, they assumed the role of Principal Strategist of Information Availability Product Management at Veritas Technologies LLC, where they served as a turnaround agent for sliding product sales, eroding profits, and increased software reputation and value. In 2018, they became Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer at WorldView LTD, where they controlled and drove revenue generation initiatives, reduced operational costs, and developed organizational technology plan. In 2020, they became Co-Founder, CTO, and CISO of Osmond, and also took on the role of CISO/ Senior Advisor / vCISO / vCIO at Impact Advisors. In their roles, they have worked to bridge business and IT by increasing efficiency and rigor while decreasing cost and complexity, resulting in over $50 million in CapEx and $20 million in OpEx savings. Marc has also developed and delivered strategy, policy, and procedure for internal and external technology stack producing higher and new revenues.

Marc Johnson has an Accredited Business Continuity Professional from Disaster Recovery Journal (DRJ), an Authorized Consultant - Storage Management and an Authorized Consultant - Data Protection from Veritas Training Program, a Certified Project Manager from EMC Training Program, a Sales Expert Plus, Storage Foundation High Availability for Windows 5.1 and a Sales Expert Plus, Storage Foundation 5.1 for Unix from Veritas Training Program, and a Brocade Certified Architect from EMC Training Program. Marc also has a Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a Computer Science degree from University of Nebraska at Omaha. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from LinkedIn and Amazon Web Services (AWS) as well as a Mergers & Acquisitions certification from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.
