John Renfroe

John Renfroe joined OspreyData in April of 2021 as Chief Technology Officer, providing strategic direction and agile development in both software development and data science.

John brings 30 years of commercial software development, information technology, and data science experience with a diverse industry background with the last 10 years in the oil and gas industry. Throughout his career, Renfroe has focused on bringing innovative software products to market quickly. His focus is solving difficult customer problems with AI/ML and software solutions.

Previously, Renfroe served as the Vice President of Software Development at American Innovations, an oil and gas company. He was responsible for product direction and creation of all software and IIOT products. Prior to American Innovations Renfroe held key positions at eBay, Affiniscape, Troux, and Digital Motorworks. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Kansas State University.

John resides in Austin, Texas. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and climbing, and spending time flying as a pilot!
